Bachelor of Civil Engineering 2006
After completing my engineering course in November 2005, I commenced work with AKRON Roads at the beginning of December 2005. AKRON Roads is a medium sized civil contracting company, primarily focused on road and subdivision construction.
My 3 month introduction to AKRON was spent in direct involvement with the tendering process at AKRON. After processing and submitting many tenders, I have moved into the position of construction engineer, and am in training for the position of project engineer. Currently I am responsible for the running of two roads projects.
My time thus far at AKRON Roads has been very satisfying and has further fuelled my desire to be the best I can be in my chosen career path.
I would also highly recommend the Civil Engineering course at La Trobe University Bendigo to anyone wishing to move into the field of engineering.
