The University has an excellent reputation for high-quality pharmacy graduates and I’ve enjoyed living and studying in Bendigo.
In 2011, Sarah won the Victorian ‘Pharmacy Student of the Year’ (PSOTY) award, the fourth straight win in a row since for the University.
I never thought I would win, but was extremely happy and honoured to not only represent myself, but also La Trobe University Bendigo.
The PSOTY competition is centred on communication, clinical knowledge and counselling skills in best pharmacy practice. Throughout all the stages of the competition including the finals, students were presented with a real life pharmacy scenario where they had to assess the patient’s healthcare needs.
