Industry based learningThe Industry Based Learning Program (IBL) is a placement program offered to students in our IT and Engineering courses at the Melbourne and Bendigo campuses. It allows students to spend up to ten months in industry, gaining valuable workplace experience. As a work integrated learning initiative, this program not only offers you the opportunity of paid employment, but you will also gain credit towards your degree.

This program is well supported by organisations who understand the benefit of gaining access to the brightest students, many of whom go on to gain full-time employment with their host organisation after graduating.

You must apply and selection is based on your academic results and interview performance. If you are successful at the selection interview, you will be interviewed by a panel of staff and representatives from our IBL industry partners or scholarship sponsors.
