Research projects

Project: Development of Markers for Ivermectin Resistance monitoring in Onchocerca volvulus

-        Population genetic analysis of next generation sequencing data to identify SNPs that are involved in the development of ivermectin drug resistance in isolated West African populations of O. volvulus, and

-  to use this information to develop SNP assays that can be used as disease monitoring/population genetics tools within Africa.
