Brief profile

Andrew Skabar received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Melbourne in 1983, and in the following year completed a Graduate Diploma in Education. From 1985 to 1997 he worked as a secondary school teacher while completing several additional qualifications, including a Graduate Diploma in Computer Science, Graduate Diploma in Humanities and Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Science (all at La Trobe University). He completed a PhD at Queensland University of Technology in December 2000. From January 2001 to December 2002 he was employed as a Lecturer and Research Associate in the School of Information Technology at the International University in Germany, and in 2003 and 2004 was employed as a lecturer in the School of Information Technology, Deakin University, Australia. Since 2005 he has been employed as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering, La Trobe University, Bundoora.
