Educational Access Scheme for those under 21 years

The EAS application process allows a small number of additional points to be added which will improve your UAI score. The number of additional points is determined by the number and types of EAS categories that match your circumstances. Each category has a separate code which must be entered on your application form, and applicants who are eligible can apply under more than one EAS category.

Select the category or categories below that best describe your circumstances:

Disrupted schooling

This EAS category applies to students who:

  • have attended three or more different secondary schools during Years 10, 11 and 12 (but not including a move from junior to senior high school); or
  • have English as your first language and have started school in Australia during Year 11 and/or Year 12; or
  • have moved interstate during year 11 and/or Year 12; or
  • have missed long periods of schooling in Year 11 and/or Year 12 for reasons other than medical reasons, as a result of circumstances beyond the student’s control or choosing.  (If you missed school for medical reasons use the category ‘Personal illness/disability’ to apply for EAS.)

If you gain a place at La Trobe University using this EAS category make sure you check out the Academic Skills Unit program in your Faculty, where you will find lots of tips on how to get the most out of your study time.  Also check out the Bridging Programs to see if there is one that suits you.
