Background

The School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences has established the Women in Data Science Scholarship to be awarded to female students enrolled in first year of the Master of Data Science at the Melbourne Campus. Up to 3 scholarships are available.

Are you eligible to apply?

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an Australian citizen, holder of Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa
  • Be commencing the Master of Data Science in Semester 1, 2021
  • Identify as female
  • Have an excellent academic record

Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:

  • an application by students
  • academic merit

Recipient obligations

The scholarship recipient may be requested to attend joint promotional events or participate in promotional activities in keeping with the spirit of the scholarship as reasonably requested by the School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences and La Trobe University.
