La Trobe Access Scholarship
In 2013 La Trobe University will offer a number of scholarships to students commencing tertiary studies for the first time who can demonstrate financial hardship and/or educational disadvantage.
Eligibility/Selection Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; and
- be intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree at a La Trobe campus; and
- be a commencing first year student in semester 1, 2013. (Commencing students are defined as those starting a university course at first year undergraduate level for the first time at any institution.); and
- meet criteria for educational disadvantage (financial, caring for others, non-English speaking background, disability, or other hardship or disadvantage.)
Value (2013)
$6000 per year for the duration of the degree, including honours in that degree providing that enrolment into honours is contiguous with the degree. The scholarship is payable in two $3000 instalments. Scholarships are not indexed.
