Background
The La Trobe University Baseball Club is offering sporting scholarships to undergraduate students who aspire to community leadership, have a passion for baseball and are considered quality baseball players.
The new scholarship offers a unique opportunity for students to achieve their tertiary undergraduate degree while pursuing a passion in baseball.
Valued at a total of $10,000 over 3 years the scholarship supports and cultivates future leaders in sport.
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an Australian citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; and
- Be intending to enrol in your first undergraduate Bachelor degree in Semester 1 2019 at La Trobe; or
- Be continuing in your undergraduate Bachelor degree at La Trobe in 2019
- Have a background in participation in baseball through their junior and secondary school years.
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- Submission of an application addressing the eligibility criteria and including personal statements in accordance with the scholarship application form;
- Evidence of participation in baseball (written letter stating career activity/achievements to date. The letter should also include the contact details of at least 2 referees with significant baseball experience.)
- Consultation and/or an interview with a Selection Panel comprising representatives from La Trobe Scholarships Office and the La Trobe University Baseball Club.
