Awarded to the most outstanding first-year student in nursing.
Albury-Wodonga Prize for Academic Achievement
Awarded to Bachelor of Arts students who have completed their first year (120 credit points) of studies. Awarded on the basis of grades and participation in academic activities.
AlburyCity Community Leadership Prize
Awarded to talented students from the Albury/Wodonga region who are studying on the Albury-Wodonga campus and have demonstrated their commitment to campus life and community leadership.
AlburyCity Student Scholarship (Department of Environmental Management and Ecology students)
Awarded to talented students from the Albury/Wodonga region who are studying on the Albury-Wodonga campus in their final year of study and who have demonstrated their commitment to the future of their profession within the local community.

Andrea Hore Business Scholarship
Ms Andrea Hore, a part-time mature age student, graduated from the School of Business, Albury Wodonga campus, with the Bachelor of Business (Enterprise Development) in March 1996. Andrea was tragically killed in the Bali Bombings of October 2002. In Andrea's memory, sufficient funds have been generated to establish a La Trobe University scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis and will benefit students studying within the Regional School of Business at the Albury Wodonga campus.
David Hume First-Year Philosophy Prize
Awarded each year to the student who is placed first among all students enrolled in a first-year philosophy subject, provided the work is of A-level standard. The prize will be shared in the case of A-level students placed equal first.
David Hume Honours Year Philosophy Prize
Awarded each year to the student placed first (or shared between students placed equal first) among eligible students completing their fourth year (honours) in philosophy, provided the student (or students) is (are) awarded a first-class honours for that year. Eligible students are those who take no more than one course component (out of three) from outside those offered as fourth-year philosophy subjects.
Dean's Honour List
The Dean's Honours is awarded for recognition of outstanding academic achievement in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering.
Dean's Medal (outstanding Albury-Wodonga student)
The Dean's Medal is awarded to the most outstanding student in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering, completing an undergraduate program (including Honours) who is from the Albury-Wodonga Campus.
Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Ten scholarships are available each year for eligible students commencing in undergraduate courses offered by the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering.
Dean’s Merit Prize – First Year
Awarded to the most outstanding first year undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Arts.
Dean’s Merit Prize – Second Year
Awarded to the most outstanding second year undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Arts.
Dean’s Merit Prize – Third Year
Awarded to the most outstanding third year undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Arts.
Derick Marsh Shakespeare Prize
Awarded annually for the best essay written by an undergraduate student in English on a topic concerned with an aspect of Shakespeare’s work.
Design and Technology Teachers Association Victoria Prize (Melbourne and Albury-Wodonga)
The prize is awarded to the most outstanding student in the Graduate Diploma in Technology Education at the Melbourne or Albury-Wodonga Campus. It provides a one-year subscription to the Design and Technology Teachers Association Victoria (DATTA Vic), a $100 book voucher, a resources pack from the DATTA, (which includes CDs and publications) and a certificate recognising excellence in the area of technology teaching.
Elsevier Undergraduate Academic Achievement Award
Awarded to a pre-registration Bachelor of Nursing student who, through a book review of between 750 and 1000 words, can demonstrate critical thinking skills and provides student feedback and user critiquing.
Environmental Culture and Sustainability Post-Graduate Research Program
This scholarship is open students from any area of the humanities or social sciences who want to focus their postgraduate research on environmental or sustainability topics or who want to bring an environmental or sustainability perspective on theoretical issues within the humanities or social sciences. Environmental history, environmental anthropology, ecocriticism, environmental sociology and political science, cultural studies of the environment, philosophy of nature and history of ideas, environmental aesthetics as well as environmental ethics and ecological philosophy will all fall within the scope of the scholarship.
Environmental Management and Ecology Second Year Prize
This prize is awarded for outstanding academic acheivement in the second year of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Ecology.
Esler and Associates Prize
The Esler and Associates Prize is awarded to the most outstanding third-year student in two subjects that have a soil and water component within the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Ecology.
Evan Patullock Memorial Scholarship
Mr Evan Patullock was a valued member of staff at the Regional School of Business, Albury Wodonga campus. Evan taught and researched in the area of Business Information Systems and Electronic Commerce. This scholarship has been established to honour his memory and the contribution made by Evan to both the University and the wider community. The scholarship will benefit students studying within the Regional School of Business at the Albury Wodonga campus.
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Scholarships
Ten academic merit scholarships will be awarded to students completing their VCE. Any student enrolled in the first year of any one of the Faculty’s bachelor degrees is eligible to apply for a scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded to the 10 students with the highest ENTER scores.
Geoffrey John Blunden Prize in Philosophy
Awarded annually for the best essay by an undergraduate student on a topic concerned with the welfare of non-human animals.
Hamilton-Smith Rotary Scholarship for Environmental Studies
The Hamilton-Smith Rotary Scholarship is awarded to a full time student who is studying their second year of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Ecology.
John Hill Albury-Wodonga Campus Chemistry Prize
The John Hill Albury-Wodonga Chemistry Prize is awarded for the best overall performance in first-year chemistry.
John Hill Education Prize
Awarded to the highest achieving students, at Albury-Wodonga campus, in mathematics and science disciplines in the Graduate Diploma in Education (P-12).
Kerry Faul Memorial Prize – Wodonga West Rotary Club
Awarded for academic distinction and demonstrated commitment to high quality nursing.
La Trobe University Albury-Wodonga Campus Medal
Awarded to a high-achieving, final-year student who has made a significant contribution to the Albury-Wodonga community through study or extra curricular activity.
La Trobe University/Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens
La Trobe University is offering a scholarship, in association with the Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens (AAIA) to enable a postgraduate student to travel to Greece to undertake academic research. The scholarship is open to postgraduate students currently enrolled at La Trobe University. It is primarily intended for archaeological research but students from fields such as Ancient History, Art History, Classical Literature, Material Culture Studies and Heritage Management are also encouraged to apply.
LIMS Summer Vacation Research Scholarship
Scholarships are available to students to undertake a research project during the summer vacation period in departments associated with the La Trobe Institute of Molecular Science(LIMS).
Lisa Malone Scholarship
This scholarship pays tribute to the work of Lisa Malone, former resident of Wodonga and student in social work at La Trobe University. The scholarship provides $2,000 for a year of study in any course at Albury-Wodonga that contributes to community development and welfare. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of commitment to social development either in Australia or overseas.
Marta Rado Memorial Prize
This award is donated by former colleagues, relatives and friends in memory of Dr Marta Rado who, as an early pioneer of communicative language teaching and bilingual education, was responsible for the rise to prominence of language teacher education at La Trobe University. The prize is awarded annually to a student in the primary or secondary LOTE method in the Graduate Diploma in Education, who is most likely to further the cause of LOTE education in Victoria through innovative and dynamic teaching.
Meridian Prize
Awarded annually by Meridian: The La Trobe University English Review and the English Program for the best fourth-year long essay submitted by a completing honours student in English.
Norske Skog Prize
The Norske Skog Prize is awarded to the best first-year student in the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Ecology.
North East Catchment Management Authority Prize
The North East Catchment Management Authority Prize is awarded to the student with the best overall academic performance in the third year of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Ecology.
Psychological Science: Fleur Connell Memorial Prize
The Fleur Connell Memorial Prize is awarded for recognition of outstanding acheivement in the Bachelor of Psychological Science over the three year degree.
Rene Descartes Prize
Awarded each year to the student enrolled in second-year philosophy who has completed at least two subjects in the same year at an A-level standard and who has the best results.
Stewart E Fraser Memorial Exemplary Thesis Award
Awarded for the best major thesis written by a masters or doctoral level candidate in the Faculty of Education.
The English First Year Prize
Awarded to the student who has the highest aggregate result in two first year English subjects taken in one year.
The English Honours Year
Awarded to the student who has completed fourth year hours in English with the highest mark.
The Environmental Group Prize for Waste Water Management
The Environmental Group Prize for Waste Water Management is awarded to talented students from the Albury/Wodonga region who are studying on the Albury-Wodonga campus in the Department of Environmental Management and Ecology, in their final year of study.
The Jane Austen Prize
Awarded to the student who has written the best essay or long essay on Jane Austen’s novels.
Wirrianda Philosophy Prize
Awarded annually to a female student enrolled at fourth-year level in honours philosophy (or joint honours philosophy) who has completed her Bachelor of Arts at La Trobe in the prior year and has, of the female students so qualifying, the best results in third-year philosophy subjects.
Wodonga City Learning Award
Awarded to a student residing in Wodonga who has demonstrated superior academic achievement and a commitment to life-long learning.
