SJE Consulting /La Trobe University Scholarship

The SJE Consulting /La Trobe University Civil Engineering Scholarship Program has been established to provide support for the completion of a tertiary qualification of future professional staff. It is available to full-time students commencing the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) course or one of the Engineering double degree courses at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University.

Benefits

  • financial support in the form of a $1,000 scholarship per year for the duration of the course
  • fully-paid vacation work experience during each year of the course ($5000 per year, approximate)
  • access to career mentoring advice from SJE Consulting Engineers.

Eligibility, terms and conditions

Applicants must:

  • be a full-time student in an undergraduate Civil Engineering course at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University
  • have a strong academic background, and not hold any other Civil Engineering scholarship.

There is one Scholarship available for a commencing student. Preference will given to applicants from the Albury/Wodonga area. The Scholarship is tenable for the normal length of the course, subject to satisfactory academic performance and an annual interview.

Application process

  • complete the Scholarship Application Form [PDF 511KB]
  • arrange for completion of the Reference section by your Principal, Teacher, or Year 12 Coordinator (as appropriate for the type of scholarship)
  • attach a complete list of subject grades to date from Years 11 and 12
  • attach a resume to your Scholarship Application Form
  • submit completed Application Form by 6 December 2012.

The selection of the successful applicant will be made by a panel of SJE Consulting and La Trobe University staff and based on the above criteria.
