Science and Industry Endowment Fund (SIEF)
The Science and Industry Endowment Fund aims to promote the study of science, technology and engineering among those who face social and financial barriers to studying at university. This scholarship is open to students of Indigenous background, or students based in a rural or remote location and from a low socio-economic background.

$8000 per year for 4 years
Eligibility, terms and conditions
The scholarship is available to students who:
- are of Indigenous background OR based in a rural or remote location AND of low socio-economic background
- enrol and remain enrolled in a science, technology or engineering degree at La Trobe University
- maintain a minimum pass grade for the duration of the scholarship
- are not receiving any other substantial competitive scholarship.
Application process
The scholarship winner will be selected by La Trobe University on the basis of:
- an application addressing the eligibility criteria
- an interview with the University.
