Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water Scholarship

The Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water /La Trobe University Civil Engineering Scholarship Program has been established to provide support for the completion of a tertiary qualification of future professional civil engineering staff. It is available to full-time students commencing the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) course, or one of the Engineering double degree courses, at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University.

Financial support in the form of a $5,000 scholarship per year for the duration of the course, fully-paid vacation work experience during each year of the course ($5000 per year, approximate), access to career mentoring advice from Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water Engineers.

Eligibility, terms and conditions

Applicants must:

  • be a commencing full-time student in an undergraduate Civil Engineering course at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University
  • have a strong academic background, and not hold any other Civil Engineering scholarship
  • the Scholarship is tenable for the normal length of the course, subject to satisfactory academic performance and an annual review.

Application process

  • complete the Scholarship Application Form [PDF 511KB]
  • arrange for completion of the Reference section by your Principal, Teacher, or Year 12 Coordinator (as appropriate for the type of scholarship)
  • attach a complete list of subject grades to date from Years 11 and 12
  • detail on an A4 page why you are interested in applying for this Scholarship
  • submit a resume with your application, and
  • submit completed Application Form by 6 December 2012.

Applicants must meet the selection criteria. The selection of the successful applicant will be determined through an application and interview process by a panel of Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water and La Trobe University staff based upon the scholarship criteria.
