The City of Greater Bendigo/La Trobe University Civil Engineering Scholarship Program has been established to provide support for the completion of a tertiary qualification of future professional civil engineering staff. It is available to full-time students commencing the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) course, or one of the Engineering double degree courses, at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University. 

Benefits

  • Financial support in the form of a $1,250 scholarship per year for the duration of the recipient's course,
  • Fully-paid vacation work experience during years 1, 2 and 3 of the course ($6000 per year, approximate), and
  • Access to career mentoring advice from City of Greater Bendigo Civil Engineers

Eligibility, terms and conditions

Applicants must:

  • have completed secondary education in Northern Victoria
  • be a commencing full-time student in an undergraduate Civil Engineering course at La Trobe's Bendigo campus
  • have demonstatred a strong academic background, and
  • not hold any other civil engineering scholarship.

A limited number of scholarships is available for commencing first‑degree students. The scholarship is renewable on a yearly basis, subject to satisfactory academic and professional performance.
