Awarded to the student enrolled in the gerontic nursing major within the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing who attains the highest mark for the unit, Geropsychiatric Nursing and who demonstrates an understanding of the needs of people with a dementing illness and their carers, and how to provide best practice for them. Available for metropolitan students only.

Awarded annually by the Victorian Branch of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors to the student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies course who has demonstrated the most outstanding knowledge and skills in the field of rehabilitation counselling.
Award for Excellence (Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health, Safety & Ergonomics student)
Awarded to the Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health, Safety & Ergonomics student with the highest weighted average overall upon completion of their award.

Awarded to the student who has shown outstanding success in cancer nursing or palliative care nursing at postgraduate level.

City of Casey Award
Awarded to the most outstanding student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Science (Child, Family and Community) or Master of Child, Family and Community Nursing.
City of Greater Bendigo Community Leadership Award
Awarded to a Bendigo campus postgraduate student who has demonstrated exceptional community leadership in their area of study.
Creative Arts Postgraduate Scholarship
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Centre for Creative Arts are pleased to offer a 3-year postgraduate scholarship for a creative practitioner to research in the area of creative arts and sustainability. The student will be supported by the Centre for Creative Arts research cluster: Making Sustainable Places. The cluster brings together Faculty, University and external researchers working at the intersections of sustainability and place, including human-animal-object relations.
CRS Australia Award for Excellence in Vocational Rehabilitation
Awarded to the most outstanding final-year student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies achieving outstanding academic results and fieldwork reports in units relevant to vocational rehabilitation.
Dean’s Medal
A Dean's Medal for Academic Excellence will be awarded annually to the highest achieving Undergraduate and Postgraduate student studying in their final year before graduating at each of the Faculty campuses. The Dean's Medal for Academic Excellence is a certificate and a medallion in a presentation box.
Design and Technology Teachers Association Victoria Prize (Bendigo)
The prize is awarded to the most outstanding student in the Graduate Diploma in Technology Education at the Bendigo Campus. It provides a one-year subscription to the Design and Technology Teachers Association Victoria (DATTA Vic), a $100 book voucher, a resources pack from the DATTA, (which includes CDs and publications) and a certificate recognising excellence in the area of technology teaching.

EH Armstrong Prize for Services to Lower-Limb Amputees
Awarded to either a Prosthetics and Orthotics postgraduate student or undergraduate student in recognition of contributions to the care and management of lower-limb amputees.

Environmental Culture and Sustainability Post-Graduate Research Program
This scholarship is open students from any area of the humanities or social sciences who want to focus their postgraduate research on environmental or sustainability topics or who want to bring an environmental or sustainability perspective on theoretical issues within the humanities or social sciences. Environmental history, environmental anthropology, ecocriticism, environmental sociology and political science, cultural studies of the environment, philosophy of nature and history of ideas, environmental aesthetics as well as environmental ethics and ecological philosophy will all fall within the scope of the scholarship.
Faculty of Health Sciences Postgraduate Coursework Award for Excellence
This award is given to the most outstanding postgraduate coursework student in the Faculty of Health Sciences who has achieved the highest weighted average of marks.
Flo Robinson Special Education Memorial Scholarship
The Scholarship is awarded to support a student from regional Victoria, who is commencing postgraduate studies in a field of special education or is enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate course majoring in special education on the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University.
Graduate Research Prize (Masters by Research/PhD)
One prize is awarded to the postgraduate student or students completing the most outstanding graduate diploma project or masters by coursework minor thesis project.
Jill Whitfield Prize for Health Data Analysis A
This award acknowledges the contribution made by the late Jill Whitfield to health information management education at La Trobe University. Awarded to the Master of Health Information Management student who gains the highest marks in Health Data Analysis A.
John Hill Education Prize
Awarded to the highest achieving students, at Albury-Wodonga campus, in mathematics and science disciplines in the Graduate Diploma in Education (P-12).
John Stirling Scholarship
Awarded to one student or one group of students in the Graduate Diploma in Education course at the Bundoora Campus undertaking the subject Humanities Method.
Joyce Wickham Medal
Awarded to a postgraduate student when there is a candidate of sufficient merit. Any or all of the following: 1. instituted documented changes in practice in their work context; 2. published paper(s) in a journal; 3. presented paper(s) poster(s) at conferences or informal paper(s) at workplace; 4. produced a pamphlet or document or protocol for staff or patient education; 5. undertaken research or evidence of planning research; 6. involved in further study.
Judith Lumley Scholarship
Judith Lumley was the founding director of Mother & Child Health Research, and a world renowned researcher in maternal health. To recognise the contribution that Judith made to the Faculty and the community more broadly, the Faculty has established the Judith Lumley Scholarship. The Judith Lumley scholarship is an esteem award for a high achieving HDR scholarship holder in Mother and Child Health Research. There will only be one holder of the Judith Lumley Scholarship at any time.
La Trobe University Alumni Association, Bendigo Chapter Postgraduate Scholarships
Available to a student enrolled or approved to enrol in an approved postgraduate (research or coursework) course at the Bendigo campus.
La Trobe University/Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens
La Trobe University is offering a scholarship, in association with the Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens (AAIA) to enable a postgraduate student to travel to Greece to undertake academic research. The scholarship is open to postgraduate students currently enrolled at La Trobe University. It is primarily intended for archaeological research but students from fields such as Ancient History, Art History, Classical Literature, Material Culture Studies and Heritage Management are also encouraged to apply.
Laurie Leeson Award
Awarded annually to a student who has excelled in environmental education in any course offered by the School of Outdoor Education and Environment.
LIMS - Postgraduate Writing-up Award
Available to PhD students requiring assistance to write-up doctoral research for publication.
LIMS Miller Travelling Fellowship
Assistance for postgraduate students attending national or international conferences at which they are making a presentation.
LIMS Summer Vacation Research Scholarship
Scholarships are available to students to undertake a research project during the summer vacation period in departments associated with the La Trobe Institute of Molecular Science(LIMS).
Lisa Malone Scholarship
This scholarship pays tribute to the work of Lisa Malone, former resident of Wodonga and student in social work at La Trobe University. The scholarship provides $2,000 for a year of study in any course at Albury-Wodonga that contributes to community development and welfare. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of commitment to social development either in Australia or overseas.
Marta Rado Memorial Prize
This award is donated by former colleagues, relatives and friends in memory of Dr Marta Rado who, as an early pioneer of communicative language teaching and bilingual education, was responsible for the rise to prominence of language teacher education at La Trobe University. The prize is awarded annually to a student in the primary or secondary LOTE method in the Graduate Diploma in Education, who is most likely to further the cause of LOTE education in Victoria through innovative and dynamic teaching.
Mason Family Trust Arts Bursary
This bursary was established from a donation by the Mason Family Trust of which Sandhurst Trustees Limited is the trustee. The bursary is awarded to assist students enrolled at the Bendigo campus in Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences or Education who are pursuing studies in Arts and Communications, Visual Arts and Design, Art Education, Music Education or Performing Arts Education, and who incur substantive costs for equipment and have demonstrated academic and/or practical merit.
Mason Family Trust Arts Excellence Award
This award was established from a donation by the Mason Family Trust of which Sandhurst Trustees Limited is the trustee. This scholarship was established from a donation by the Mason Family Trust. The scholarship is awarded to full time final year undergraduate or postgraduate students enrolled at the Bendigo campus in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences or Education who are pursuing studies in Arts and Communications, Visual Arts and Design, Art Education, Music Education or Performing Education, to assist with course related travel expenses
PhD Scholarship in Physical Chemistry (Laser Spectroscopy/Modeling)
Post Graduate Scholarship in the Department of Chemistry - Physical Chemistry (Laser Spectroscopy/Modelling). This scholarship offers PhD students funding to study on a full time basis for three years.
Professor Edgar Smith Scholarship
This scholarship offers a travel award for an extended overseas visit, typically to attend a conference and to work with an expert of international standing in the area of the successful applicant's thesis.
Royal Women's Hospital Midwifery Student Research Award
Awarded to a midwifery student, or recent graduate, to support presentation of research findings at an international or national conference.
Scholarships for postgraduate research students (PhD, professional doctorates by research & masters by research)
La Trobe University offers an extensive scholarship and candidature program for postgraduate students who are undertaking higher degrees by research. The Research and Graduate Studies Office co-ordinates the administration of Masters by research and Doctoral candidature, and scholarships for these degrees.
School of Human Communication Sciences Honours Publication Award
Awarded to one honours year student who has a paper accepted for a peer-reviewed publication within 18 months of completing the honours program.
School of Human Communication Sciences – Clinical Achievement Award
Awarded in recognition of excellence in clinical skills. Nominations will be accepted from internal and external clinical educators. The Clinical Achievement Award will be presented to one student from each of the second, third and fourth year levels of the undergraduate Speech Pathology and the final year of the Master of Speech Pathology course.
Soroptimists International (Bendigo) Midwifery Bursary
This bursary is awarded to support students enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma of Midwifery Science at the Bendigo campus. Two bursaries will be made available annually. Recipients will be selected on the basis of the extent of hardship related to rural or regional issues and the impact of spending an extended time away from home. The value of the award will be determined annually. More information and the application form can be obtained from Student Administration at the Bendigo campus. Closing date is 31 March.
St John of God Midwifery Award
Awarded to an outstanding graduating student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery Science.
Stewart E Fraser Memorial Exemplary Thesis Award
Awarded for the best major thesis written by a masters or doctoral level candidate in the Faculty of Education.
The Hugh Batten Graduate Research Prize for Masters by Coursework
Awarded to the Masters by Coursework student who completes the most outstanding Masters by Coursework minor thesis in the Faculty of Health Sciences each year. This award is in recognition of the contributions made by Professor Hugh Batten in his role as Dean of the Lincoln School of Health Sciences.
The Joyce Wickham Medal
Awarded to a postgraduate student when there is a candidate of sufficient merit.
The Stephen Duckett Graduate Research Prize for Higher Degree by Research
Awarded to the Doctor of Philosophy or Professional Doctorate by Research candidate who completes the most outstanding Higher Degree by Research thesis in the Faculty of Health Sciences each year. This award is in recognition of the contributions made by Professor Stephen Duckett in his role as the inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
VPGH Postgraduate Prize in Gerontology
Awarded to a postgraduate research student studying and researching in the field of gerontology. Open only to domestic postgraduate students studying and researching into the area of gerontology. This is a single award donation, for 2011, but may be extended.
W.J.C. Banks Prize
Awarded annually to a graduate or graduand of the Bendigo campus who is undertaking full-time study at the Bendigo campus, enrolled as a Master by research, or Doctor of Philosophy candidate.
Zoran Georgievski Memorial Research Scholarship 2012
The Scholarship is called the Zoran Georgievski Memorial Research Scholarship. The recipient of the Scholarship must be enrolled at La Trobe University for an Award of Masters or PhD by research and be researching in a field directly related to orthoptics or an area of public health of interest to the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (RVEEH).
