Award for Excellence (Master of Occupational Health Student) ($100)
Awarded to the Master of Occupational Health student with the highest weighted average overall upon completion of their award.

Award for Excellence (Master of Occupational Therapy Practice First-year Student) ($100)
Awarded to the Master of Occupational Therapy Practice first-year student with the highest weighted average overall.

Award for Excellence (Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Student) ($100)
Awarded to the Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety student with the highest weighted average overall upon completion of their award.

Graduate Research Prize (Masters by Research/PhD) ($250)
One prize is awarded to the postgraduate student or students completing the most outstanding graduate diploma project or masters by coursework minor thesis project. Nominations close on 31 December.

The Hugh Batten Graduate Research Prize for Masters by Coursework ($1000 and certificate)
Awarded to the Masters by Coursework student who completes the most outstanding Masters by Coursework minor thesis in the Faculty of Health Sciences each year. This award is in recognition of the contributions made by Professor Hugh Batten in his role as Dean of the Lincoln School of Health Sciences.

Faculty of Health Sciences Postgraduate Coursework Award for Excellence ($1000)
This award is given to the most outstanding postgraduate coursework student in the Faculty of Health Sciences who has achieved the highest weighted average of marks.

EH Armstrong Prize for Services to Lower-Limb Amputees ($250 La Trobe University Bookshop voucher)
Awarded to either a Prosthetics and Orthotics postgraduate student or undergraduate student in recognition of contributions to the care and management of lower-limb amputees.

Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria Prize (for metropolitan students only)
Awarded to the student enrolled in the gerontic nursing major within the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing who attains the highest mark for the unit, Geropsychiatric Nursing and who demonstrates an understanding of the needs of people with a dementing illness and their carers, and how to provide best practice for them. The prize is a $200 cheque.

City of Casey Award $200 book voucher)
Awarded to the most outstanding student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Science (Child, Family and Community) or Master of Child, Family and Community Nursing.

Cancer Council Victoria Prize ($200)
Awarded to the student who has shown outstanding success in cancer nursing or palliative care nursing at postgraduate level. Available for metropolitan students only.

CRS Australia Award for Excellence in Vocational Rehabilitation ($250 book voucher)
Awarded to the most outstanding final-year student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies achieving outstanding academic results and fieldwork reports in units relevant to vocational rehabilitation.

The Joyce Wickham Medal
Awarded to a postgraduate student when there is a candidate of sufficient merit. Any or all of the following will be taken into account when considering candidates:
• instituted documented changes in practice in their work context
• published paper(s) in a journal
• presented paper(s), poster(s) at conference, or informal paper(s) at workplace
• production of a pamphlet, document or protocol for staff or patient education
• undertaken research, or evidence of planning research
• involved in further study
The award is in the form of an engraved silver medallion.

Lifestyle and Rehabilitation – Student of the Year Award
Awarded to the most outstanding final year student in the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (and associated double degrees) or the Master of Occupational Therapy Practice who has achieved the highest weighted average. The prize is a $500 cheque and a plaque.

Royal College of Nursing, Australia High Achiever Award
Awarded to the highest achieving student in the final year of the Bachelor of Nursing (pre-registration) course. The prize is a one-year membership to the college and a certificate.

Royal College of Nursing, Gerontic Nursing Prize (for metropolitan students only)
Awarded to a student who maintains the highest average for all pieces of work submitted for the Postgraduate Diploma of Advanced Nursing (Gerontic Nursing). The prize is a one-year membership to the college and a certificate.

Brooks Running Award
Awarded to the postgraduate student who displays the highest standard in the unit Professional Development for Sports Physiotherapists. The prize is a running pack including running shoes and other sporting apparel to the value of $500.

ASORC Feldman Award in Rehabilitation Counselling ($250)
Awarded annually by the Victorian Branch of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors to the student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies course who has demonstrated the most outstanding knowledge and skills in the field of rehabilitation counselling.

Postgraduate Coursework Excellence Award ($1000)
Awarded to the postgraduate coursework student with the highest weighted average.

The Stephen Duckett Graduate Research Prize for Higher Degree by Research ($1000 and certificate)
Awarded to the Doctor of Philosophy or Professional Doctorate by Researchcandidate who completes the most outstanding Higher Degree by Research thesis in the Faculty of Health Sciences each year. This award is in recognition of the contributions made by Professor Stephen Duckett in his role as the inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Victorian WorkCover Authority Prize ($200)
Awarded to the student who has achieved outstanding performance in the occupational rehabilitation component of the Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies
