New scholarships
In 2013, La Trobe University is introducing new scholarships, supporting academic excellence, access to University and sporting achievement.
La Trobe University and Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Scholarship
La Trobe University and the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank have formed a strategic partnership to provide up to 20 new $36,000 scholarships in 2013 to support outstanding rural and regional students entering university for the first time.
These scholarships are valued up to $12,000 per annum over three years to cover accommodation and expenses for school leavers who studied VCE or HSC at a school in Victoria or southern New South Wales. Mature aged applicants may also be considered.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Australian citizen or permanent resident;
- Attendance in 2012 at a rural school in Victoria or southern New South Wales OR
- Home residence within the designated localities for at least the past two years (mature age applicants);
- First time full-time enrolment at University;
- Enrol in a course at La Trobe University (Bendigo or Melbourne campuses)
- Special Entry Access Scheme application through VTAC (based on one or more of the following catergories - personal information and location, non-English speaking background; difficult circumstances; disadvantaged financial background; disability or medical condition).
