Bendigo Oral Health and Dentistry Society Volunteering Bursary

Are you eligible to apply?

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

Applicants must:

  • Be enrolled as a second, third or fourth year Dentistry or second year Oral Health student
  • Be a current Bendigo Oral Health and Dentistry Society (BOHDS) member.
  • Be a current Bendigo Student Association (BSA) member
  • Have demonstrated a level of involvement in BOHDS events, such as participation in sub-committees.

This bursary cannot be used in conjunction with elective programs within the University.

This fund is to be used solely for the purpose of alleviating some of the financial barriers of flights, accommodation and the volunteering experience. The expense claims will be reviewed and then reimbursed by BOHDS up to a maximum amount of $1500 per bursary.

It is the responsibility of the student to have in place, prior to departure, adequate financial and insurance requirements necessary to support travel and the volunteering experience and activities.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate and provide details of:

  • How the bursary will be used to support their volunteering experience and activities.
  • Participation in the Bendigo Oral Health and Dentistry Society.
  • Proof of membership of the Bendigo Student Association.

Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
