Our Vision, Values and Mission

VISION:
We are a service organisation, anticipating and meeting the needs of our community.

MISSION:

We complement the educational endeavours of the University.
We provide sports and physical recreation facilities, activities, and clubs for the members of the Association.
We encourage and support the University and wider community in living a healthy lifestyle.

Sports Clubs Committee

A Sports Clubs Committee which shall advise the Guild Board on matters relating to:

(i) funding for the various sports clubs of the University on all campuses;

(ii) affiliation or disaffiliation of any sports club in accordance with its rules; and

(iii) the up keep and maintenance of sporting clubs facilities.

The Sports Clubs Committee shall operate under its rules. (SPORTS CLUBS COMMITTEE
TERMS OF REFERENCE.pdf (37.2k)) The Sports Clubs Committee shall also determine those who shall be awarded Sports Blues.

Management - Staff

The Sports Manager, John Dumaresq, is responsible for the day to day management of the Sports Centre and reports the Drrector, Student Services.

The Clubs and Recreation Manager, Rennie Cirillo, is responsible to the Sports Manager for assisting the Association's affiliated clubs to prosper and also plans and manages a general recreation program for the University and local community.
