WHO CAN BECOME A MEMBER? Anyone can become a member! Just come into reception and see our friendly staff. If you are a student or staff member of the University, all you need to do is bring your student/staff card to the Sports Centre reception desk and apply for your membership. Guild Members receive discounts on Sports Centre memberships.
WHAT’S ON OFFER?
Gymnasium – The Sports Centre houses a fully equipped gymnasium, boasting a wide range of free and machine weights, and electronic cardiovascular equipment, all under the supervision of fully qualified fitness instructors.
Pool – The Centre features a 25m Indoor Heated Swimming Pool that is available all year round. You have access to training aids, a Deep Water Pit, Cargo Net, Tarzan Rope and exceptional water quality.
Group Exercise – There are a variety of Group Exercise Classes on offer including: Pilates, low impact cardiovascular, body sculpt/pump, high intensity cardiovascular, step and taebox/boxing classes.
Courts – Tennis courts, squash courts and fieldhouse for volleyball, badminton, netball, basketball and indoor soccer are all available for hire.
Programs – check out “Active on Campus” for the Learn to Swim for Adults, Yoga, Pilates, and Dance programs, as well as an Indoor Soccer Competition.
First Aid Training – The Sports Centre is the perfect place to obtain your nationally accredited First Aid Certificate at a discount rate. These include: Basic and Senior First Aid and Updates, CPR, and Pool Lifeguard Updates. Sporting Clubs: There are 21 clubs to choose from, offering something for everyone.
