in SAP is provided by the Business Systems Unit, with
the aim of adding value to the University by improving the ability
of staff to undertake their roles effectively.
Training
Venues and Accessibility
Formal instructor-led training sessions are held at Bundoora, Bendigo
and Albury/Wodonga campuses. Staff are welcome to attend sessions at any
campus.

You will be advised of the venue when submitting your training registration,
details of which will be confirmed by email.
Session Cancellation
Please note that sessions with fewer than four (4) participants enrolled
may be cancelled. In this case, you will be notified and invited to register
for another session.

Training Room is located in the David Myers Building Basement. When
booking for training at this venue, it is important that staff who cannot
easily use stairs contact BSU

Determining your
Training Requirements
If you're uncertain about what training you'll need, refer to the list
of Access
types and roles, and the requirements of your position.
If you are working in Finance, Human Resources, Procurements
and Business Services and will undertake core functions such as payroll,
creating purchase orders, paying vendors, setting up funds, etc., training
will be organised directly with Business Systems Unit staff
through your supervisor. It is recommended that you attend the Introduction
to SAP if you don't have any prior experience using
SAP.
Training
Session Objectives and Prerequisites
The following modules are offered to new SAP users and most sessions are
run approximately every month at Bundoora campus and quarterly at regional
campuses.
Training manuals are provided at the following sessions, and these can
also be accessed on-line.
The costs associated with SAP training are borne centrally so there is
no charge to participants' areas.
Explanation of SAP roles and password requirements
Navigating SAP menus and running transactions
Creating favourites and personal list items
Searching possible entry lists and inputting data
Note
Attendance at the Introduction to SAP alone will not equip you to perform
specific tasks in SAP as this session is only intended as an introduction
to further training.
Purchasing
(Part 1 - Requisitioning, Part 2 - Goods Receipting)
The SAP Purchasing process is fully covered by these sessions, which are
conducted over a full day or as two half-day sessions.
