Within our health education precinct in Bendigo, there is a 12-bed, fully equipped, acute hospital simulation ward for up to 32 nursing students, complete with high-tech simulation mannequins (life-size medical mannequins). It also has a one-person birthing suite, with full videoconferencing facilities for teaching purposes. Upstairs features a musculoskeletal lab which is equipped with high-end, video conferencing 'situation' cameras, enabling diagnostic simulation and recording of scenarios. These cameras can capture specific views and can zoom in to a scenario to show specific treatments.
Our regional campuses have fully equipped training facilities where nursing students can practice real life situations. Each campus has at least one $120,000 Sim Man 3G manikin equipped with advanced simulation capabilities.
Our Clinical Simluation Learning Centre (CSLC) helps students to prepare for the hospital environment.
