Why study health sciences?

If you're interested in medical research, community health, rehabilitation counselling, athlete welfare, environmental health or health promotion - or are unsure which area of health science is for you – this degree can help you find your niche. Learn about the role of health professionals and factors that influence health both locally and around the world. Focus your studies in second year by choosing one or two majors.

As part of your studies you will have exposure to highly qualified academic staff with close links to professional, government and corporate organisations, including the Australian Sports Commission, Cancer Council of Victoria, VicHealth and the AFL Players Association.

You’ll also have the opportunity to take up placements in a range of relevant workplaces from hospital settings to community facilities and regional health organisations.
