Risk Management Unit

The Risk Management Unit was established in September 2005 to deliver a unified approach across the University and enhance capability for managing risk. The key areas of focus include:

  • Assessment and management of strategic and operational risks facing the University
  • Analysis and mitigation of emerging threats, in support of all areas of the University
  • Promotion of excellence in governance, including compliance, fraud and audit review
  • Critical incident management, including emergency, continuity and recovery responses; and
  • Assistance to other specialist risk areas such as Occupational Health & Safety and Security

    Within the Risk Management Unit, two dedicated offices provide particular specialised areas of expertise:-
  • Insurance Office
  • Internal Audit Office
