Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC) 2008

Introduction

The La Trobe University annual publication collection will be occurring in conjunction with the Department of Education, Employee and Workplace Relations (formerly DEST) HERDC publication data collection. Publications must meet specific eligibility criteria to be included in the HERDC collection, as outlined in the DEEWR 2008 HERDC specifications (below).

Aside from being a compulsory government requirement, this information will also be used to provide the basis for both internal and external research reporting and management, and will become available in a Directory of Expertise.

(Please note there will be no ABS project data collection in 2008).

Reports sent to Head of Schools for verification and correction

End of correction period - verification materials to be returned to RGSO

End of verification period - verification materials to be returned to RGSO

Only Books (A1), Book Chapters (B), Journal Articles (C1) and Conference Publications (E1) may be included in the HERDC submission to DEEWR.
