At La Trobe University, we respect the privacy of your personal information and comply with all applicable privacy laws. Residential Services collects personal information about you. You can contact us on +61 (3) 5444 7425, or by e-mail at residences-bendigo@latrobe.edu.au.

We will handle requests for access to your personal information in accordance with relevant privacy laws. We collect your personal information to facilitate the application and the selection process for residency. If your personal information is not provided to us then we cannot complete your application and subsequently provide you with accommodation and other services offered at our residences. We also collect your personal information:

  • To ensure a safe, comfortable, quality and affordable housing option;
  • Maintain records for the proper adminsutration of our residences and operations; and
  • To maintain our relationship with you as a resident of Residential Services.

We may (where appropriate) disclose your personal information to government agencies, and to agents, contractors, or service providers used for residential service operations. We only collect sensitive information with your consent and only use such information relating to your:

  • nationality, religious beliefs, age and other demographics, for the purpose of allocating accommodation and maintaining our relationship with you
  • health, if you are involved in a medical emergency.

By completing the various application forms, online updates and other related data collection as requested by us, you give consent to us to using and disclosing that information. Fields which collect sensitive and health information are clearly labelled. Completion of these fields is entirely optional. If you do complete such fields, we understand that you consent to the collection of this information.

With your help we will keep your personal information accurate, complete and up to date. You can access most of the personal information we hold about you and request corrections or updates.
