Residential ServicesHalls of Residence124 places (catered) Established in 1956, the Halls of Residence (Osborne St) are 1km from the main Campus. In 2009 The Halls will become our Living - Learning Community, especially catering for a fun, exciting, energetic and supportive academic environment of distinction. Three Halls - Scott, Mills and Pryor each contain:
Scott Annex contains 22 single study/bedrooms centered around lounge rooms and bathroom areas. Pryor Annex provides self-catering accommodation in 2 x one-bedroom flats, 1 x two-bedroom flat and one eight-bedroom self-contained area ... not available for first-years. All Halls' students provide their own desk lamps, bed linen, blankets and pillows, (kitchen utensils/crockery for weekend meals). Meals are provided in a large central dining room. A self service continental breakfast and ingredients for students to prepare their own sandwich lunches are available Monday to Friday between 7am and 1:00pm. A two course evening meal is served Monday to Thursday between 5:45pm and 6:30pm or later by prior arrangement with the catering staff. The catering staff are happy to discuss special requirements with international or special needs students. Students provide and cook their own meals on weekends. A central study resources room, photocopier and well appointed computing facilities are provided. The Halls provide ideal accommodation and support services for first year students giving them a wonderful opportunity to make new friends.
