Our mission is to provide a variety of safe, comfortable, quality and affordable housing options and offer intentional experiences to foster a positive lifestyle that caters for the needs of a diverse community of learners and promotes their academic, social and personal development.

La Trobe University, Bendigo has developed a variety of high quality residences for accommodating over 560 students and visiting scholars. Our residences are well reputed for facilities and service and offer excellent value for money.

Attention has been given to provide assorted styles of residences to support a diverse and vibrant student community. Care has been taken in the design of buildings and the provision of quality furnishings to enhance students' lifestyles and assist students to study effectively and live comfortably.

Live-in staff (Residential Supervisors) supported by a leadership team of Resident Assistants, Academic Mentors and Student Club representatives provide residential care, encourage students' academic, social and personal development, and assist with residence life issues.

The variety of styles of accomodation include:
  • Traditional Halls of Residence
  • Contemporary self-catered residences
  • Accommodation for mature age students
  • Village apartments for independent students
  • A number of houses and flats

Our residences are ideal for group bookings and conferences over the summer break. For these bookings and casual or temporary accommodation email our office.

An off-campus housing service is 'maintained' by the Bendigo Student Association to assist students who prefer the independence of living in town or the variety of home-stay opportunities.
