Business innovation research and development

The $3.3 million Central Victorian Innovation Park (CVIP) at Bendigo was officially opened by Treasurer and Minister for State and Regional Development John Brumby on Friday, October 24, 2003.

The CVIP is a joint project of La Trobe University and the City of Greater Bendigo , funded through the State Government Regional Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) grant.

The CVIP is the first publicly funded/University endorsed technology innovation-based business park in Victoria .

The Park, on 2.8 hectares of University owned land, aims to contribute to regional economic growth by supporting the establishment and expansion of new innovation based businesses and research and development opportunities. The anchor tenant of the initial building at CVIP has installed leading-edge communications infrastructure to provide business continuity services to local and national organisations.
