Lionel Murphy Endowment Postgraduate Scholarship

Value $40,000 for one year for students intending to undertake a postgraduate degree in Science, Law or Legal Studies, or other appropriate discipline (must be Australian citizens or permanent residents who have resided in Australia for at least the previous 12 months). Australia Awards Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships

The Australia Awards Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are internationally competitive, merit-based scholarships that support Australians to undertake study, research and professional development overseas and citizens from eligible countries to undertake these activities in Australia. Postgraduate Research Scholarships for Mexican Students

La Trobe partnership with CONACyT (Mexican National Council for Science and Technology) supports high achieving Mexican students accepted and enrolled in Masters and PhD programs at La Trobe. Each year, La Trobe will waive a 25% reduction of the tuition fees for a number of Masters students (up to 2 (two) years tuition) and PhD students (up to 4 (four) years tuition).

CONACyT scholarships cover tuition fees, a stipend and annual support of health cover.

How to Apply

Candidates must first apply to La Trobe University and receive an acceptance letter. For details on how to submit an application please go to How to apply.

Applicants then need to apply to CONACyT on their website. Calls are open from approximately April – June each year, please confirm 2017 deadlines on this website.​

NSW Health Nursing and Midwifery Aboriginal Postgraduate Scholarships

Scholarships of up to $15,000 are available to Aboriginal people currently working as registered nurses or registered midwives in NSW to assist with educational expenses directly associated with postgraduate study. Australian Petroleum, Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) KA Richards Scholarship

The KA Richards Scholarship was established in 1989 to encourage professional development to the benefit of the industry. The scholarship offers a maximum of $10,000 per year and is tenable for one year for Master's study or three years for a doctoral degree full-time (or an appropriate duration for part-time study). China Scholarship Council – La Trobe University Joint Funding Program

The China Scholarship Council (CSC) program provides scholarship opportunities and placements to selected Chinese graduate students to undertake a La Trobe PhD. Applicants should apply for candidature directly to La Trobe University and, once accepted for admission, shall submit an application to CSC for scholarship funding.
