Research Services

Renee's role as SRDO for the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering is to assist researchers in that Faculty to access a wide range of funding opportunities, to generate an increase in the quality and quantity of research by improving funding success rates, and to help achieve research targets. She will also identify research funding opportunities, liaise with relevant academic staff, assist researchers to prepare and submit quality applications and proposals for funding and provide advice on commercialisation and commercial development opportunities.

Renee has been employed by La Trobe in a variety of capacities for much of the past 30 years. Most recently, she worked with staff in the School of Molecular Sciences as Finance Manager. She has substantial experience in managing grant, contract and DEEWR income and expenditure, liaison with funding bodies, preparation of financial and other reports, and generally advising and assisting researchers to make the most of their research funding. She has a BA(Hons) from La Trobe, majoring in Cinema Studies
