Kathy has a background in science, humanities and library information science, and has worked previously in teaching, research and laboratory management. In her current role as Commercialisation Officer, she is committed to ensuring that La Trobe innovative research is patented where appropriate, adequately resourced and fully developed. This will help to ensure the dissemination of useful outcomes to the wider community. Kathy is also keen to investigate funding sources and collaborations, search the patent literature with staff and students, and look at the market opportunities for novel processes and products.
