Barbara is Secretary to the University Human Ethics Committee and a primary contact for advice on ethical research, national guidelines compliance and University clearance of human research studies. Barbara is also actively involved in the state and national networks of HREC officers which inform each other on matters of human research ethics policy. Prior to this current role, Barbara was Research Support Manager for the Faculty of Health Sciences and came to La Trobe with significant experience in the not-for-profit sector as a program manager, grant writer and key liaison between professional agencies and government funding programs. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Utah and a Graduate Diploma in Arts Management and a Master of Education from the University of Melbourne.
