Research Services

Alex's main focus is on data integrity analysis utilising SQL for reporting, checking and updating data in the many Research Services data systems. Alex's role is integral in investigating new technologies for disseminating Research data (reports and training solutions) to the wider University community which include dynamic Crystal reports, SharePoint services and PHP web pages. He is also involved with auditing workflow processes and supporting the many software technologies and hardware infrastructure Research Services supports systems. Alex began at La Trobe as a Computer System Officer and after eight years moved to Research Services where he supports the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) submission, coordinating data collection, advising senior staff and implementing many new strategies to improve efficiency.
