Australian Laureate Fellowships | Fellowships funded by La Trobe University

Australian Laureate Fellowships

Proposals for funding commencing in 2011 are now open for submission (25 Nov 2010).

Closing date: 27 January 2011

This scheme is offered by the Australian Research Council (ARC). Australian Laureate Fellows will be researchers of international repute who will play a significant, sustained leadership and mentoring role in building Australia's international competitive research capacity. The ARC particularly encourages proposals from women, early- to mid-career researchers, and from researchers currently working overseas.

Selection criteria
Selection criteria from the round to commence in 2010 were, in summary:
  • Investigator 40%
  • Project/Program of research activity 30%
  • Mentoring/Capacity Building 30%

Australian Laureate Fellowship candidates should refer to the Australia Laureate Fellowship Funding Rules when available for full information about selection criteria and information on the selection process.

In addition to a salary supplement and salary-related (on-cost) support, the ARC may provide Australian Laureate Fellows with Project Funding and additional funding to appoint postdoctoral research associates and postgraduate researchers.
