Standards of Service Provision
Review and Submission of Applications:
- Applications for ARC Discovery and NHMRC Project grant rounds, will be reviewed in line with the specific timetables notified for those schemes.
- All other applications which are received at Research Services by the internal closing date (10 working days prior to funding body closing date) will be reviewed and feedback provided within five working days. Applications received after the internal deadline will be checked as thoroughly as time permits, but may not be reviewed. Applicant will be informed immediately if a draft application arrives to late to review.
- Applications for which complete documentation, including the correct number of copies of the final version and an Research Services Coversheet, are received at Research Services two full working days before the granting body closing date will be submitted in time to meet the granting body closing date.
- Applications where the final version is received later than this deadline, may not be sent. If we are unable to submit a late application, the applicant will be informed promptly.
Grants Administration:
- Memos notifying the outcome of applications for funding will be prepared within four working days of Research Services receiving notification from the granting body.
- A fund will be established for each new grant within five working days of receiving the necessary documentation – return of completed Successful Advice Memo and any necessary approvals.
- Progress and Final Reports will be submitted within 7 working days of receipt.
- Financial Reports which have been checked by researchers and/or School finance officers will be submitted to the granting body within five days, or by the granting body deadline, whichever is later.
Communications:
- Phone messages will be answered by the end of the next working day.
- Email messages will be answered within two working days.
