Research Grants UnitNotification of Application OutcomeApplicants may be advised of the result of their applications by the Research Services or directly by the funding body. If you are notified of the success of a grant by the funding body you will need to send a copy of the notification letter to the Research Grants Unit so that a research fund can be established for the grant. Once successful, applicants will be sent a successful advice memorandum, detailing the amount and duration of the grant. You will need to sign this memorandum to acknowledge your acceptance of any conditions of award associated with the grant and obtain the Head of School’s signature to verify that any over expenditure of the grant will be met by the School. Shared Grants:Staff who have been awarded funds for research which are administered at another institution are requested to send a copy of the offer of the grant, any conditions which may apply, and the application for to the Research Services. These results can then be published. If funds are to be transferred to La Trobe University copies of these documents are required in addition to evidence that all clearances have been obtained before the fund may be established. The ARC requires that shared grants have a formal agreement about the distribution of funds and reporting to the administering institution in place before the project commences. If you need a proforma for this purpose, please contact Catherine Jaggs. Locating | Submitting | Notification | Managing Content Approved by: Director, Research Services
