Three ways to identify possible sources of funding at La Trobe University are:
- La Trobe University currently subscribes to the COS Funding and Expertise
Service. This service offers a searchable database of local, national
and international funding opportunities. You may search the site from
any computer at La Trobe University (http://www.cos.com).
If you wish to register an expertise profile on the service you will also
be allocated a COS Workbench which will allow you to search the site from
home (using a login name and password) and will provide you with a weekly
funding alert service. The Funding Alert service notifies you of grant
opportunities relevant to your research interests for which you are eligible
to apply. If you require assistance using the service or joining, please
contact Louise Francis (x2043).
Tutorials are also available on the La Trobe COS page.
- We maintain an e-mail list to advertise funding opportunities to staff
as we become aware of them. We also arrange to have fliers posted on School
notice boards. If you would like to be put on this list please a member of the Research Grants team giving your name, School
and main research interests.
- There are several pages dedicated to specific funding bodies on the Research Grants web pages. These include the La
Trobe Schemes page, ARC Schemes page, the NHMRC Schemes page, the US Government Schemes page, and the Recently Advertised Schemes page, which is used to provide links to the web site of any
schemes recently advertised by e-mail.
