Human Research Ethics

The Human Ethics website content has migrated to SharePoint. To access the SharePoint site select the following link (SharePoint is compatible with Internet Explorer; users of other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox will need to access the site using Internet Explorer). If you are interested in a 'how to' workshop for your research group or department please contact the Research Compliance Unit.

Please note that you need to be a La Trobe staff member or student to access the site. If you want to access the Unite SharePoint site off campus you will need to establish a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection beforehand. The VPN Quick Reference Guide outlines how to set up and use VPN on your computer. If you are using an Apple MacIntosh computer please refer to the Apple MacIntosh Quick Reference Guide.

The University Human Ethics Committee will officially close for summer break on Friday, 16 December and resume activity on Monday, 23 January 2012.  Ethics proposals will not be reviewed during this period. All progress or final reports covering the 2011 Calendar Year are due by 12 February 2012. The form can be downloaded here.

The new Panels for Expedited Ethical Review (PEERs) will commence on 23 January 2012. Application forms and information about the PEERs and human ethics processes are available on the SharePoint site.

UHEC Members can still access the UHEC Member Page to finalise applications currently under review.
