To assess the risk level your research project, please complete the Human Ethics Risk Assessment Checklist. Note to Mac users - if you experience difficulty opening or storing data in the checklist, please contact: Suzana.Kovacevic@latrobe.edu.au Please review the La Trobe Human Research Ethics Guidelines before completing an application form. The guidelines provide information on the requirements of ethical review and the classifications of negligible risk, low risk and above-low risk studies. You are also advised to review the four principal values of the National Statement (1.1 - 1.13) and their relevance to your research proposal. Please ensure a current application form is used - download from menu below. Researchers are also welcome to submit a proposal using the National Ethics Application Form (NEAF). Please allow a minimum of 30 working days for above-low risk proposals to receive a first response from the UHEC. Special Notices - The UHEC will close for summer recess from COB Friday, 21 December until Monday, 28 January 2013. No new applications will be reviewed during this time. New applications received after 16 November may not receive a first response from the UHEC until January 2013. All 2012 Progress Reports are due on or before 12 February 2013. Failure to submit a report may result in suspension of ethical approval.
