Modification

An application to modify a currently approved project can be considered by the GMSC provided that the changes involve:

• Extension to project duration
• Change in research personnel
• Change in project facility/laboratory
• Minor changes in procedures
• Change in host/vector system

A sub-committee of the GMSC reviews the application and may issue provisional approval, request further information (clarification) or request that a new application be lodged if it deems the changes proposed are significant.

Researchers planning to modify a currently approved project need to complete an application form and submit it to the GMSC for consideration.
