Faculty of Humanities and Social SciencesCoversheet Approval and Peer Review ProcessInstructions for applicantsInstructions for Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences approval of submission of your research funding application: Once you complete the coversheet, it will be sent automatically to your faculty's Research Development mailbox, and copied to you. Further steps:
Your Head of School will approve the application if all is in order, and forward it to the Dean for Faculty approval. The Dean will then advise Research Development that the application is approved for submission. Research Development must have the coversheet approved by the Faculty's authorised officers (Head of School and Dean) and without it, will not process and submit your application. For your planning purposes, please note that these approvals must reach Research Development at least three working days before the funding body's closing date. Note that draft proposals must undergo peer review before final submission. You should explore peer review and other mentoring options within the Faculty, about which you can contact your Head of School. Instructions for Heads of SchoolWhen a researcher sends you a Research Services coversheet and application, if all is in order, please forward THE COVERSHEET and THE APPLICATION to the Dean for approval, by email, noting that it is ‘approved’ by you. Please copy to the Associate Dean (Research). Outline of process
