Following our successful Workshops in 1997
and 1998 we held a Workshop on 'The status of "word": its phonological,
grammatical, cultural and cognitive basis' from Monday 7th until Saturday
12th August 2000 at La Trobe University.
A volume called Word: a cross-linguistic typology,
edited by Dixon and Aikhenvald, was published by Cambridge University
Press in late 2002.
