Renée Lambert-Brétière joined the RCLT in July 2006 as a postdoctoral research fellow, and is now working on a comprehensive grammatical description of Kwoma, a Papuan language spoken in the East Sepik Province of Papua New Guinea. Previously, Renée has been primarily interested in verb serialisations and clause chaining in Fon, a Kwa language spoken mainly in South Benin. She completed her MA thesis at the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada) under the supervision of Prof. Claire Lefebvre, and her PhD thesis at the Université de Lyon 2 (France) where she was supervised by Prof. Denis Creissels.
