Gerd Jendraschek received his PhD from the University of Toulouse Le Mirail (France) in 2004. His thesis describes the morphology, syntax, semantics, as well as the diachronic and sociolinguistic variation of possibility expressions in Basque. In 2000, Gerd had received his M.A. from the University of Bielefeld (Germany) with a study of ideophones in Turkish (published by Lincom Europa). During his Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at RCLT, he will write a grammatical description of Iatmul, a Papuan language spoken in East Sepik Province (Papua New Guinea).
