Jingyi Du joined the RCLT in August 2006 after completion of her MA thesis in Tsinghua University.

For her PhD dissertation, she is working on a descriptive grammar of the Barok language (Usen dialect) under the supervision of Professor Randy LaPolla. Barok is an Austronesian language spoken in New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea
