“Rethinking Human Rights in the 21st Century”

Join us for this year's Sir John Quick lecture by Professor Jim Ife, celebrating 20 years of Social Work.

Emeritus Professor Jim Ife has taught and researched in social work, community development and human rights in Australian universities for 40 years. Prior to his retirement, Jim was Professor of Human Rights Education and Head of the Centre for Human Rights Education at Curtin University, having previously been Professor of Social Work and Social Policy at both Curtin University and The University of Western Australia.

A former President of Amnesty International Australia and Convenor of the Human Rights Commission of the International Federation of Social Workers, he's also an author of four books, including a widely used text on community development. Jim continues to write, teach and engage in community activities since his retirement.
