This project was divided into smaller task groups:
More information about the cervical cancer vaccine can be found by visiting 'Preventing Cervical Cancer, The National HPV Vaccination Program, Department of Health and Ageing'
There has been a great deal of confusion about the eligibility of international students receiving the vaccine for free.
To be eligible for the free vaccine you must be aged 18-26, and be eligible for Medicare.
If not, you will have to pay for the vaccine. We have heard that some health insurance companies will be giving a rebate for the vaccine but you will need to check with your individual insurers.
You can call the 'Immunise Australia Hotline' on 1800 671 811.

The Careers in Public Health Workbook is an ongoing project for the PHSA. The workbook is designed to inform both current and prospective students about career opportunities in Public Health. The workbook features employer profiles, position descriptions, graduate profiles, course and training information and much more!
Please contact us if you would like to help put this workbook together.
OddSocks was an installation during the 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival at Federation Square. It used a typical Australian backyard clothesline as a centerpiece, with health professionals such as Diabetic Associations, podiatrists and physiotherapists providing relevant information onsite. During their lifetime nearly half of all Australians will suffer from some sort of foot problem. Many people work on their feet, and some people?s feet deserve special attention because of their phase of life including children, older people, people with diabetes, and people who use their feet for recreation. Good foot health is important to everyone. So are socks!
This project was run by Dr Priscilla Robinson with the assistance of Carmel Hobbs, Meagan Chiuchiarelli and Natasha Krajcar. As the project continued, many more students and staff in the School of Public Health were involved.
Following the installation, the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health published OddSocks at the Melbourne Fringe Festival: A methods paper for using an arts installation in promoting public health.
