Work History

Penny has been a part of the School of Public Health since early 2000 when she was employed by Associate Professor Rae Walker as her Research Assistant, undertaking research into Partnerships in the Health Field, Risk Communication and Trust Evaluation. She also taught both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. In early 2006 she left this position and began working as a Research Officer for Professor Vivian Lin. In this role she worked as the secretariat to the Australian Network of Academic Public Health Institutions (ANAPHI) and as the La Trobe University Link person for the Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health (CRCAH).

Currently Penny is the CRCAH Link Coordinator (see - http://www.crcah.org.au/aboutus/penny_bisset.html) and remains in her position as La Trobe University Link Person. She is also an Associate Lecturer for the school teaching various undergraduate subjects and taking part in curriculum design. Penny's plan for the future is to upon completing her MPH in Social Health undertake her PhD in either Indigenous Health.
