School of Public Health

Research Degrees

The School of Public Health has an established profile of research expertise across a wide variety of health-related areas. Approximately 120 PhD and Dr of Public Health students are supervised in the School, making it one of the leading institutions for research training in public health.

The School of Public Health has an extensive program of postgraduate research degrees. Masters of Applied Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees are offered entirely by research thesis, while the Professional Doctorates involve coursework and a research thesis.

Postgraduate Coursework Degrees

Some postgraduate coursework programs have developed strong research components, making it possible to develop clear pathways from postgraduate diploma studies to research degree study. Progression is subject to academic performance at the required level.
